Love is..

There are many things in life that I love so  I thought I'd share some of them with you. When I was young I would fall 'in love' so easily that,  one of my friends, who was quite pragmatic, accused me of 'wearing my heart on my sleeve' !

But of course I didn't agree, what was wrong with falling 'in love' ?

This particular friend  who was a lovely girl had a boyfriend and had been seeing him for a couple of years but he treated her so badly, he had her waiting around expecting her to do whatever he wanted to do, instead of her making decisions too. I couldn't understand her but of course she was 'in love'  but could never admit it !




One of my favourite texts in the bible comes from Corinthians 13:4-7.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast.

 It is not proud. 

 It does not dishonour others,  It is not self seeking,

 It is not easily angered.

 It keeps no records of wrongs.

 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

 It always protects, always trusts,

 always hopes, always perseveres.

As today is Easter day I would like to send love and best wishes to all for a happy and peaceful Easter.

 The challenging letter of this week is the K and I've chosen the word: "Knock-Knock"

Knocking on your blog-door again to come in and see what you've entered this week. We all can go knocking at lots of doors. All participants love to see you come in to their blog-home, and more so, love the comments you leave behind at their entry.

J is for Jade

Rebecca Jade is a very eclectic singer working out of San Diego, California. From this interview: "She’s an artist similar to a chameleon, able to change her styles and genre with little effort, and her audience is able to pick up her emotions in a song during her performances."

She appears with several different groups including the dance band Siren's Crush, the trip-hopping The Jade Element and the R&B, soul, blues and funk cover band The Soultones. She also sings jazz with various bands. Here she is singing All This Love with El DeBarge in November 2015.

Reverbnation said: "Growing up in a musical home, she has been exposed to a vast assortment of artists, genres and styles. Her own mother was a professional jazz singer in Puerto Rico. With such influences, it seems a natural progression that Rebecca has followed in her footsteps."

Oh, did I mention that she is my oldest niece, the daughter of my older of my two sisters, Leslie. I've known her since she was about a month old and living in New York City. I've seen her play basketball in college, fortunately when she was in the east coast.

But I have seen her sometimes on the west coast - e.g. high school and college graduation, and her 2005 wedding to her Rico, on my birthday (for reasons having nothing to do with me).

I am very proud of her, as though you could not tell.

The challenging letter of this week is the I and i've chosen the word: I 

This is my 4th time to post an entry for the letter I.
Not that long a member of all of you... and even shorter then that a member of the team behind ABC-Wednesday, of which I am very proud, if i may say so, "thank you" to WIL, who invited me to join the team. Let me introduce myself to you...

I am, obviously, a woman.
At this moment in time i am 53 years old and married for 32 years, since last December 9th.
Yes I married young, never regretted that. After somewhat more then a year our daughter was born in January 1985, followed by her brothers in November 1990 of which one Thank-God, survived the horrific pregnancy after loosing 3 children earlier. Having had, still do, to deal with multiple health-issues since i was 10, I've learned to cherish life every waking second as conscious and intense as possible. Here that saddest part of my story ends.  I just mention it because its part of who i am.

For the greater part of my working-life I've worked in a bank. Before that I've worked in greenery's and restaurants. And after that, still now, i am working as a volunteer with the 'needing' people in our community and that is the most rewarding job one could ever have, so fulfilling! Also, for many years, i've worked as a volunteer for Animal-protection services.

I am the proud 'mum' of two dogs and a cat. I love to write stories, poems and other writings for blog-related memes. I am as well a hobby-photographer, love to go out to zoos and art galleries and of course, not in the latest, outdoors somewhere in nature to take lots of shots which i will cherish along side my memories of all those outings.
Although i rarely attent church these days, i am a christian and i try to live by the christian standards and do the best i can for all around me and myself.
Another important part of me is music, obviously again, I've played several instruments in several bands, I've sung for many years in a choir and solo as well and I've danced for many years too. So I absolutely love theatre-visits now i am no longer able to do each of those things anymore.

Long story short...
I love ABC- Wednesday and i truly hope that you enjoy it as much as I do every week. To welcome visitors from all over the world, to read that they want to tell 'me' in their own entries as well in their comments, i am always looking forward to each and everyone of you, on the ABC-Wednesday-blog as well as on mine.

RIP, EG CameraGirl

It's been brought to my attention that one of our regular contributors, East Gwillimbury CameraGirl, has died. Tina Forrester, and her husband Tom, were killed in an auto accident in late February. Our condolences to their family and friends.

She is the second of our regulars to have passed away in the past couple months. Berowne's "Savage Reflections", a/k/a John Savage, passed away last December 26, just a week shy of his 94th birthday.
