It's been brought to my attention that one of our regular contributors, East Gwillimbury CameraGirl, has died. Tina Forrester, and her husband Tom, were killed in an auto accident in late February. Our condolences to their family and friends.
She is the second of our regulars to have passed away in the past couple months. Berowne's "Savage Reflections", a/k/a John Savage, passed away last December 26, just a week shy of his 94th birthday.
This was such sad news and today bloggers got word that Smiling Sally who hosted Blue Monday for years has died, too. RIP...
ReplyDeleteI knew about Tina, but have been a regular contributor to ABC Wed lately as I had been in the past. So sorry to hear about Berowne also! I enjoyed his posts and loved to try to solve his puzzles. He obviously lived and long and full life. I didn't know Blue Monday, but after checking her blog just now, I obviously missed a lot. It is interesting how involved we can become with people whom we have never met. I mourn the deaths of these people despite never meeting them!
ReplyDeleteThe news of the death of Camera Girl comes as a shock. We didn't often meet, but it feels as if we lost a good member of our blogging family, a wellknown friend.
ReplyDeleteThis is sad new. I didnt know about Berowne. I loved his posts.
ReplyDeleteRIP all three
A true indication of the strength of blogging and the lovely people we meet. RIP Dx
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to learn of the death of Berowne, I used to love trying to solve his puzzles, he had a wealth of knowledge about the movie industry and also Mr Shakespeare, he knew his writing inside out.
ReplyDeleteHe's obviously lived a full interesting life.
There is never a time to say goodbye but now, the time has come, so goodbye and 'Rest in Peace' dear Mr Berowne.
Sorry to learn about Tina.
ReplyDeleteI miss Berowne's wise words & comments on my posts...
Although i am not that long a part of this ABC-family, i hardly knew both, i do feel shocked and sad.
ReplyDeleteAll their loved ones, i wish for them all the strength they need, i'll keep them in my prayers!
Sorry to hear this news. My condolences to their loved ones.
