I see how eagerly the lobsters all advance, they are waiting on the shingle, Will you come and join the dance?
Will you, wont you,Won't you join the dance?
You really have no notion, how delightful it will be, when they take us up and throw us, with the lobsters out to sea! But the snail replied, " Too far, too far,"and gave a look askew-

That gold snail is kinda scary. Nice post peppered with P's!
ReplyDeleteAnd for me now this week, P is for Passover/Pesach.
I love Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" too. I believe writing quotes is sometimes more difficult than writing your own text, because you don't want to misquote someone. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Lewis Carroll poem is "The Walrus and the Carpenter."
ReplyDeleteAfter all these difficulties it came out very nice ! 3 years ago I have seen Alice's shop and birth place !
ReplyDeletePleasant preface, perfect for "P"!
ReplyDeleteMy "P" is for POETRY also.
Poetry is phenomenal!
ReplyDeleteMy P stands PARKLANDS POND
A preponderance of poetry. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat intro!
ReplyDeleteMy "P" is for "POMEGRANATE"
And "P" for POINSETTIA. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeletePoetry posts are always enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteI still like to create poetry when the need strikes me, I only post it over on Instagram however since it is very random and mostly about Squirrels!
I love the poem, how sweet!!
ReplyDeleteDi, I loved this piece of poetry nonsense. I'm glad you continued onward. Silly snail. He would've enjoyed the dance if he only had dared.
ReplyDeleteGreat poem from the classic 'Alice in Wonderland." Pictures and the narrative are excellent.

I love poems. The Lobster Quadrille brought back some memories of a time at Uni. My friend and I were walking to class and there was someone following us closely. I remember saying to her "Will you walk a little faster? said the whiting to the snail, there's a porpoise close behind us, and he's treading on my tail".
ReplyDeleteThank you all again for your lovely comments, they are most appreciated.
ReplyDeletebest wishes,
