Introduction of F.

We arrived at the letter F now of round 15. If you participate with us, please link to and mention us in your post.

If we didn't have the letter F we would certainly miss a lot of fun!

For instance we could not eat any fruit.

Neither could we fry a fish over a fire.

We would never be able to sail in the Norwegian fjords.

Nor see the falls.

We would never see the early morning fog.

                           We wouldn't be able to buy any flowers 

                            nor pick them anymore.....

I am looking forward to seeing your F posts.

Today I wrote a poem
And I put it in my book
It's about a certain letter
That's shaped sort of like a hook
It's a very special letter
And I like it quite a lot
The big one has a line on top
The small one has a dot
It comes at the beginning of a word like jellybeans
Or John, or Jane, or Jenny
Or a brand-new pair of jeans
You'll find it in the alphabet
Between the I and K
And if you haven't guessed by now
Well, it's the letter J

F is for...FUN...

Although I FREQUENT ABC Wednesday regularly, I usually post only a FEW FOTOS on each post.

I FIND that more than just a FEW of you FINE FOLKS FIND pleasure in posting FANTASTIC and FABULOUS snapshots of several different scenes that are FAMILIAR to you. Some include FAMILY and other FRIENDLY FACES, sometimes a FIESTA, a FOREIGN city or village, FOGGY scenes, FINE FOOD, FINE ARTS, and so much more. Whatever the image, you all seem to FOCUS very well on technical FORM.

Instead of FRITTERING away more of your time, I FORECAST that the FLOODGATES will open and you will FORGE ahead and bring FORTH photographs that will FIT the bill for the letter "F"---I'll FUEL your imagination by showing you this FISH that I FOUND on the wall of a restaurant in FISH CREEK, Wisconsin.

The F word is.....

FUN

During these dog days of summer, a Fabulous old song came to mind that Filled me with memories of Frisky and Fun-Filled days that were Funky, Footloose, and unForgettable. I am referring to the Beach Boys' "Fun Fun Fun" from their 1964 album "Shut Down Volume 2." (To hear/watch the song, click on the red title above.)

The song was written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love about a teenager named Shirley England, who worked for her father, the owner of radio station KNAK in Salt Lake City, Utah. Apparently, one day Shirley borrowed her Dad's Ford Thunderbird to go to the library, but she ended up at a hamburger stand instead. As a result, her Dad took the car away from her. The next day, the Beach Boys happened to be visiting the radio station for an interview and overhead her complaining about it to the staff. The Beach Boys were inspired to write this song! One interesting Fact is that the Wilson brothers' Father thought the song was immoral and tried to keep the group from recording it. I am Frankly Flabbergasted and Freaked out that we may never have heard this Fun song!

So have FUN FUN FUN, everyone, for the rest of the summer. Be Festive, Fabulous, Flirty, and Fascinating!
