In July 2015 I left my Country, the Netherlands, to fly to Australia. I flew with Cathay Pacific, which is a Chinese airlines Company. It took me 12 hours to fly to Hong Kong, where I had to wait for 18 hours. The flight from Hong Kong to Cairns in Australia lasted 8 hours. The flight was very comfortable.

When I arrived in Cairns it was still dark at 5 o 'clock, but my daughter was waiting for me. We were happy to meet again and went to the unit she had booked for us. The two granddaughters were still asleep. I got my first cup of coffee, which is very important for a Dutch person to  feel at home.

In the meantime the granddaughters woke up and they showed me the surroundings. The three year old asked me if I had a toothbrush and started to brush her teeth.

 

 

The appartment my daughter had booked for a couple of days.

We stayed another day in Cairns before driving to Cooktown, which is a long drive of 360 kms.

Introduction W.

 I introduce this letter because  my maiden name starts  with W. I saw Roger do this game, when the G was having its turn.

1.Family name? Wouters! This is also my maiden name. In the Netherlands the family name of the husband comes first, followed by the maiden name of the married lady. In my case it'll be:"Francois-Wouters".

2 First name? Wilhelmina. At the time when I was born we had a Queen Wilhelmina,  I was not named after her but after my grandmother.

3 An animal?A wolf, spelled the same way in Dutch and English.

4.A boy’s name:Wim ( short for Willem, which is William in English)

5 A girl’s name:Wil, Wendy, Winny, Wanda,etc...

6. An occupation?:A watchmaker, a weaver....

7. A color?White...

8 Something you wear? Wellingtons

9. A beverage? Whiskey

10. A food?Water-melon

11. Something found in bathroom?Warm water  (same spelling in Dutch or English),a wash basin.

12. A town? Washington

13. A flower? Wistaria

14. A country? Wales, a Celtic country in the United Kingdom

Introduction of F.

We arrived at the letter F now of round 15. If you participate with us, please link to and mention us in your post.

If we didn't have the letter F we would certainly miss a lot of fun!

For instance we could not eat any fruit.

Neither could we fry a fish over a fire.

We would never be able to sail in the Norwegian fjords.

Nor see the falls.

We would never see the early morning fog.

                           We wouldn't be able to buy any flowers 

                            nor pick them anymore.....

I am looking forward to seeing your F posts.
